Principal’s Message
We were disappointed that we need to reschedule the Fun Run, Walk and Roll this past week, but we are looking forward to the event on October 29th! We will keep everyone posted with the details as the day nears.
As we move through our school year, I am going to continue to update you on our core values and social emotional learning. Second Step, our district social emotional curriculum, is a big part of how we support our students in learning how to be kind, respect, and inclusive members of our community. Across all grade levels students will experience more complex lessons on growth mindset, goal setting, empathy, kindness, and problem solving. In addition, this past week staff finished planning ways in which we were going to focus on our core value of kindness with the students. Next step, respect!
Please remember that we do not have school this coming Monday, October 13th, in recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day. We will see everyone on Tuesday, October 14th. |

Picture Day
Picture Day is Tuesday, October 14th! We’re excited to once again partner with CoffeePond to capture our students’ smiles.
A few important reminders:

Order forms were sent home with students. Please complete and return them to your student’s teacher before Picture Day.
- If you prefer to order online, you can easily do so using the QR code below.
- All orders are due on Picture Day.
- Portrait packages will be shipped directly to the school from Coffee Pond and distributed to students approximately 4–6 weeks after Picture Day.

AB Forward Update Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in our focus groups. While focus groups are full, we still have opportunities to provide feedback to us through our upcoming Community Forums and our survey that launches in mid-October. We want to assure everyone that all feedback collected through focus groups, community forums, and surveys is weighed equally. As a reminder, our community forum dates are:
October 21st, 6:30-8:00 p.m., ABRHS Auditorium
October 27th, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Blanchard Gymnasium
October 30th, 6:30-800 p.m., virtual (link to follow)
