Principal’s Message

We have been busy having fun at Gates these past couple of weeks. Enjoy the photos below!
We have also formally started conferences this week. It is so great seeing so many families at school or "zoom" learning about their students progress and ways in which we can partner to support our students.
When looking at the 10 day forecast the weather is not looking very good for our Fun, Run, Walk and Roll this coming Wednesday, October 29th. Instead of postponing the event again, we are going to move the event indoors. The event will be done by grade level in the big gym in 20 minute segments. Families are still welcome to attend, but will only be able to watch their student's grade level run as we do not have enough room in the gym to host all spectators for 7 grade levels at the same time. There will be plenty of parking in the Elm Street lot for any families who are able to attend. Below is the schedule for the day:
Please do not forget to register your student on Booster before the run! Registering for the event supports our fundraiser which pays for all the amazing enrichment activities that our students have throughout the school year. There is no cost associated with registering for the event.
Finally, similar to in the past, we will not be celebrating Halloween at Gates along with the rest of the school district. This practice ensures that all students and families feel welcomed at school. Classes will be encouraged to have fall fun activities that are accessible to all. On Halloween we invite all students to dress in "comfy cozy" attire (no costumes) for the day!
Have a great weekend!
